Junior Research Unit Syllabus White Blocks Thursday, April 20: Introduction to unit and requirements. Lesson on note card and bibliography card format. Draw authors. Monday, April 24: Lesson on using library resources and online databases. Begin research. Wednesday, April 26: Review research documentation expectations. Work in the Library. Friday, April 28: Research and progress check. Work in the Library. Tuesday, May 2: Compile research and complete bibliography and note cards. Thursday, May 4: Check in bibliography and note cards. You should have a minimum of four bibliography cards and at least three note cards (different topics) for each bibliography card. Lesson on outline structure and begin writing your outline. Monday, May 8: Type and check in outlines. Lesson on MLA formatted paper. Begin typing the paper. Wednesday, May 10: Continue typing the research paper. Lessons on introductions, transitions, quotations, in-text citation Friday, May 12: Continue typing the research paper. Review transitions, quotations and in-text citations; lessons on body and conclusion. Tuesday, May 16: Lesson on Works Cited page. Finish typing. Complete paper due Thursday. Thursday, May 18: Check in paper and edit. Check in edited paper, and begin revision. Monday, May 22: Finish revising the paper; due Wednesday.
